Week 18: Review Week

 Hello everybody, please remember that it is the review week so there are no new vocabulary words this week and the only homework are the sections of the review worksheet. Week 17

 Hello everyone, this week will be a bit special because we have an outing on Wednesday and we have a day off for Christmas on Thursday. Anyways, we will have a combined test on Tuesday so please be prepared and study well. It will be a combined test for Week 16 and Week 17 which means that it'll have elements of both a spelling quiz and a story test in it. As for the vocabulary portion, we will be directly testing the Week 16 vocabulary, but knowing the  Week 17 vocabulary will also be helpful for doing well on the test. Week 16

 Hello everyone, we will start a new story that is related to the geology and geography of the Earth.  It is the last of the three readings that will be included in the Final Exam. The major point of conventions and phonics will be related to homographs. A homograph is a word that is spelled the same, but has two or more vastly different meanings. Homo= same and Graph= to write  So, those words are written in the same way, but have two or more totally different meanings. For example, a bank could mean the side of a river, and it can also mean a place to store your money. Week 14

 Hello everyone, we are starting the "Kids Can Be Big Helpers" story in the Savvas My View book. In this story, we go over how kids can volunteer at home, school, and in their community to make the world a better place. We hope that it inspires students to take a more active role in the world around them to make planet Earth a better place to live on.
